Welcome to the Crossroad Inn, now under new management! The previous owner used to ask for a story as the price of the first drink, but for the opening night first drinks are on the house. Not everyone who comes to a bar wants to spill their life stroy to strangers. I'm Miranda, owner/operator of the Inn, and I hope your staywill be a pleasent one.
Now, before I bought the place I'd heard rumours that this was the place to come to meet...unusual people. Actually, despite the occasional show-off, these days the Inn
tends to attract a rather more quiet and reserved customer than some other
esablishments. Open use of magic and what have you isn't the norm here. Conversations tend to touch upon personal matters rather more
than on world-spanning conspiracies. From what I hear, even the hunters come here just to relax.
A 'high body count', you say? Well, I must admit that I did hear the Inn had something of a reputation for violence. There is rather less blustering
and posturing than some places I might mention, and any action is rare but
often deadly. However, there hasn't been a murder for, oh, years now,
unless, of course, you wish to count the shootings outside which made the papers a few months back. But I think that would be rather unfair. Hell, I wasn't even in town when that happened. From now on, this is going to be the quiet place to drink. I hope...
