OrkFUDGE Rules for Boolah

Boolah is a traditional ork contest of strength and bravery. It can be a friendly challenge between rivals within an Orkum, or a more serious challenge between Orkums.

The two Orks face each other and exchange insults and blows to the chest until one can no longer get up. The two Orks face off, with the Ork challenged to the contest giving the first blow.

How to Play Boolah

  1. The Insult: Deliver a colourful and personally crafted insult to your opponent. This doesn't have any immediate effect, but is important for the Tala to spin a good yarn out of the encounter.
  2. The Punch: Hit your opponent in the chest. The players make opposed strength rolls. If you beat your opponent's roll, you knock them to the ground. If they win or tie, they stay on their feet and return the insult and punch.
  3. Get up Again: An Ork knocked to the ground must roll on their 'Get Up Again' or equivalent skill (Endurance). The starting difficulty is Terrible. Every time an Ork is knocked to the ground the difficulty of his 'Get up Again' roll increases by one.
  4. The End: When a 'Get up Again' roll is failed, that ork has lost the contest.
