| Bear | March-April | Late Winter/Early Spring | Reindeer begin to move west to the plateau calving grounds. Orks leave the winter home during this season as the weather permits. |
| Hawk | May-June | Late Spring/Early Summer | The Hawk Taldoolay is held when the Gathums reach the calving grounds. Reindeer calve in the middle of the Hawk season. By the end of the season they are moving furher west to the summer pastures. |
| Raven | July-August | Summer | The Raven Taldoolay is the greatest meeting of tribes, taking place on the summer tundra. The ravens accompany the Gathums out onto the treeless summer feeding grounds, eating the remains of the reindeer carcasses the Orks leave behind. This is a time of plenty for the Orks with abundant meat and rich summer vegetation. Zoom begin to fill their hives with honey by the end of the month. |
| Reindeer | September -October | Autumn | The reindeer herds begin to move east again, to the rutting grounds. The Reindeer Taldoolay is held when the Gathums reach the rutting ground at the end of October or beginning of November. With the reindeer in prime condition, this is when the majority of hides are harvested. |
| Wolf | November-December | Early winter | In mid-November, after the rut, the reindeer move east again, back to the forested valleys for the winter. The Orks must reach their dooladay before deep snow makes long distance travel too arduous. Meat will freeze solid by the end of this season, to supply food for the deep winter months. The Gooleeala takes place on the longest night of the year twoards the end of the Wolf season. |
