Dolphins

Highly intelligent and free-spirited, the Dolphin peoples have trouble understanding many human concepts like nations, property, conquest and trade. However, they have no real animosity toward land-dwellers. The Dolphin, being the most intelligent of the sea-creatures, feel it their duty to protect their less fortunate whale and seal cousins from human and other hunters.

Dolphins live in extended family groups. The size and exact composition of the groups depends on the time of year and the traditions of the area.

The only other notably intelligent sea-creatures are the Orca of the north and the giant sea-otters of the southern coasts.

Dolphins and Magic

All Dolphins are natural Dream-Weavers, although their powers vary widely. Therefor, it is easy for them to communicate with most intelligent creatures through telepathy.

Dolphins and the Gods

All dolphins respect the power of the Lord of the Sea, although they do not worship him. There are no dolphin priesthoods, although there are individuals who's closeness to Typhon is recognised and respected and who might attempt to interceed with the Stormsinger on behalf of their family group.
