The Clans in the Fief of York
BrujahIn York, the Brujah maintain balance between the clans. They are mostly rather unusual for Brujah, being on the whole not too violent. The eldest Brujah in the fief, Simeon of York, was the Childe of the Guardians. He and his Childe Matthew McCrae spent most of their effort on maintianing peace in the fief on the orders of the Guradians. The other elders and ancilla repreasent the scholarly aspect of the Clan, rather than the warrior. Even the neonates are (usually) well-behaved. GangrelMainly interested in maintaining treaties with Lupines. There are few Gangrel within the cities of the fief, but several in the surrounding countryside, where they enjoy the benefits of the fief's treaties with the lupine packs. It can be assumed that as well as the resident Gangrel detailed, others pass through the fief regularly. Thorolf, the Gangrel elder is one of the only two Elders of York to survive the invasion. On the night of the invasion, he was meeting with the lupines in order to convey problems or requests to the assembled Council. Therefore he escaped, joining the Lupines in the attack on the remaining invasion forces in the City of York. MalkaviansYes...well...quite...my favourite colour is a turtle. No clan policies. In fact, there are only three Malkavians in the fief. NosferatuThe fief has been hostile to Nosferatu since a Blood Hunt was called on Elisabeth Mallroye, the clan leader there in 1843. She been caught conspiring with Prince Richard to overthrow his Sire, Ilbert de Lacsy. At the moment, only Josef Ptazinski represents the Clan there. ToreadorMostly interested in maintaining and expanding the Elysium. Will try to avoid being drawn into taking sides. The Torador are a large clan and under the new Clan leader, Marie d'Anceny, are likely to take a more political role. There is a split in the clan within the Fief (now, why does this not surprise me?). This is between the Leeds and Bradford Toreador (see groups.wri) TremereThe Tremere in the city were a primary target for the invaders. Despite this, a Tremere is the other surviving member of the old Primogen, beside the Gangrel. He had left the city at the time of the invasion, summoned unexpectedly to a Clan meeting. He left behind him in the city his newly created neonate, who was destroyed in the attack on his Haven. VentrueSeveral of the Ventrue in the city are very old. Ilbert de Lascy, the Prince of the fief, was a Norman noble who was given lands in Yorkshire after the Norman invasion of 1066. His Children, the Princes Edward and Richard were embraced in 1384. The new Ventrue primogen, Sir John Hughendon Smythe, is anti-Garou. Unsurprisingly, the Ventrue are the most influential Clan in the fief and are a genrally friedly and closeknit Clan. However, they are not immune to the common conflicts of Kindred. The younger Ventrue chafe against their conservative elders and seek to expand their own power, while the elders in turn try to retain their influence. CaitiffThe Fief of York is famed as the model Camarilla city of tolerance, pecae and unity. Nowhere is this exemplified better than in the fact there are no Caitiffin the fief... AssamitesOne, Ibrahim, in Bradford, on a personal mission. Allowed to stay by the old Prince to increase his power. Will try to expand on old deal with new Primogen by creating trouble. The old treaty said that Ibrahim could only accept commisions approved by the Primogen. They will try to get the new Primogen to allow them to accept any hits except those on the Primogen themselves. May try to bring in more Assamites if there are a lot of contracts available. |
