The Fief of Newcastle

Before the invasion, Newcastle had the reputation of being a city of anarchs. The reputation was not entirely justified, however and the city was ruled by a council of Brujah and Venture. They had united when the industrial base of the city was destroyed by Tory policies in the eighties. The Ventrue of Newcastle are vehemently anti-London and especially hate Lady Anne, who they blame for the city's decline. Before the invasion, the council had managed some success in restoring prosperity to the city, although huge problems still remain.

After the invasion, many of the city's Kindred will flee south, causing problems for the characters in York. This is expanded on in the Newcastle Refugees story idea.
