Background

In the course of his unlife, Niccolo has been all over Europe and even America. Principally, he has learned from his travels that Elders are the same the world over and his kind are not wanted by any of them.

Niccolo was Embraced by a Ravnos Elder after he sneaked into her caravan to try and steal from her. As a punishment for trying to rob 'one of his own', she Embraced him and told him he would have to serve her for ten years for every piece if jewellery he had taken; 60 years in all. His pride refused to allow him to accept such servitude and is wasn't long before he ran away. It took three attempts before he managed to avoid recapture and the subsequent humiliation. Perhaps his Sire simply tired of the effort of tracking him down. Niccolo prefers to think that he evaded her attempts.

In the years of wandering after his flight, Niccolo visited a very large number of cities, even for a Ravnos. He became drawn to the anarchs as he saw the oppression and misery caused by Elders like his Sire. He despises those younger Kindred who fawn over and suck up to the Elders, willing to exchange their freedom for scraps from the tables of their oppressors. He especially hates the Ventrue, who always seem to take the lead in running him out of town.

Nick is too fly-by-night to commit himself seriously to any anarch group. Still, he often joins anarch gangs in the places he visits and willingly helps them for the time he is there. Before he leaves town, Nick usually perpetrates some last grand hoax or attack against the Elders, almost always Ventrue. He especially loves to expose cruel or oppressive Elders to the ridicule of their peers and have them condemed by the same status sytem they use to keep the young Kindred under their thumbs.

One of Nick's best hidden characteristics is his compassion for those enslaved by their Sires. When he met Jeanette, he was appalled by the fact that she has been Embraced purely to serve as a vessel. After making sure she would come with him, he set about ruining her Sire's business affairs, as well as exposing his cannibalistic urges to the rest of the London Ventrue. Since coming to Wakefield, he has adopted Domenique as well. Diamond Charlie is exactly the kind of sycophantic social climbing creep he loaths.

Niccolo is a very handsome young man, who Gypsy heritage is plain, even though is obviously rather pale-complexioned now. His usual clothing is jeans and a leather jacket. However, when he is involved in a scam, he will wear whatever is appropriate and look good in it. Because he was Embraced in Europe, he is very proud of his Romany hertitage and was amazed and horrifed by the 'mongrel' Ravnos of the New World.

Niccolo lives on a traveller caravan site in Wakefield. There are very few true Romany there and Niccolo despises the other residents and gorgios. He lives with his two newfound companions. At the moment, Nick is lying low.

Ultimate Goal

To humiliate Ventrue Elders in the eyes of their peers and bring about the downfall of subservient younger Kindred.

Immediate Goal

Sussing out the poltics of the fief. He is especially intersted in Diamond Charlie, who he feels is ripe for a bit of humilitation.

Resources

At the moment, Niccolo is rather well off, having fleeced a couple of Ventrue elders on his way out of London.

More precious to him is the respect and favours owed to him by Ravnos and anarchs across the world. Although the Anarchs profess to despise the status and boons system of the Elders, there are many who owe their unlives to Nick and would help him if he asked.
