Paul StewartBackgroundPaul was embraced in the 1920's when his sire felt he needed a child who understood the modern age and could help him run his firms more effectively. As one of the senior Ventrue in the fief, Sir John had no difficulty in obtaining permission from the Prince and set out to find a suitable candidate. Paul Stewart worked in what today would be 'human resource management', although his main talents lay in self-promotion. He always quick to shift the blame for mistakes and gather the praise for successes, which made him loved by his managers and hated by his staff. In 1925, Paul worked for one of the many companies owned by Sir John. When Sir John began looking for candidates to join the Ventrue Clan, he was impressed by what he heard of Paul. Since the Embrace, Sir John has had his doubts about Paul. However, recently things have improved. As yet Paul's sire doesn't realise that the improvement is mainly due to the Embrace of David Witering. Paul has conviced himself that his failure to rise in Kindred society is caused by William Braithwaite. He despises William as 'old fashioned' and 'out of touch with the modern business community'. He is sure that William is poisoning Sir John's mind against him and even that William has deliberately interfered in Paul's business ventures. Several times William has warned Paul that such-and-such a scheme would fail and it has. Actually, the success of these predictions have more to do with William's superior ability. Paul prefers to interpret it as evidence of covert attacks on his reputation. He is growing increasingly paranoid.
